The CP/486DX2 provides a complete high performance 32-bit PC/AT-based embedded single board computer (SBC) in a ultra compact PC/104 form factor (90 * 96 mm / 3.6 * 3.8"). The CP/486DX2 includes all standard motherboard functions plus 16 or 32 Mbyte DRAM, bootable FLASH solid state disk (SSD) with up to 4 Mbyte, two serial ports, one parallel port, one NE2000 10BASE-T Ethernet networking interface, watchdog timer, floppy disk and (E)IDE hard disk interface.The CP/486DX2 is an ideal platform for bridging existing equipment to Ethernet networks. The CP/486DX2 is also a good choise for new embedded designs requiring Ethernet network connectivity.

The SSV CP/486DX2 is a highly integrated 486DX- based single board computer with a 133 MHz low power AMD 486DX5 CPU.This CPU offers P75 performance. With 16 or 32 Mbyte DRAM, up to 4 Mbyte FLASH solid state disk,EMBEDDED FLASH FILE SYSTEM, BIOS setup data in FLASH, +5V - only operation, wide operating temperature range and the feature- rich onboard I/O controllers with the 10BASE-T Ethernet interface, the CP/486DX2 meets the demands of most embedded PC and embedded networking applications. Even though the board is PC/AT compatible, it will operate without mechanical disk drives, keyboard and monitor. The CP/486DX2 is well suited for applications such as automated industrial equipment, medical instrumentation, transportation, manufacturing, communication, industrial Ethernet gateways and routers, test and measurement on the factory floor.

The CP/486DX2 offers 13 connectors for a 16-bit PC/104 bus interface, power, CPU Fan (option) and JTAG test port, (E)IDE interface, floppy disk interface, two RS232C serial ports, one parallel port, utility (with keyboard interface, external battery and RESET switch) and the 10 Mbps NE2000- based 10BASE-T Ethernet interface.
