Embedded Networking Single Board Computer EmNet SIB/1

The EmNet SIB/1 is a Embedded Networking Evaluation Board for system integrators. The components and the firmware of this board are also the base of the SC400 / SC410 Embedded Networking Intellectual- Property- Block (IP- Block). The board comes with a full TCP/IP protocol stack in the on- board FLASH memory and some servers for embedded Internet applications. For using the EmNet SIB/1, you donīt need any VGA monitor and PC keyboard. The EmNet SIB/1 is a real embedded PC system. The firmware of this board includes a remote terminal service called Remote Console Mode (RCM). This service supports the Microsoft Windows 9x/NT HyperTerminal program.

The EmNet SIB/1 is a highly integrated 486- based embedded networking platform with a powerful 33 MHz AMD SC410 microcontroller, 8 Mbyte DRAM, 4 Mbyte FLASH, 10BASE-T Ethernet interface, COM1 RS232C port with standard 9-pin SUB-D connector, COM2 port for RS232C or RS485, Compact FLASH socket and a powerful Watchdog timer. The EmNet SIB/1 also offers a switching power supply with 12 VDC to 24 VDC input and dual output (3 VDC and 5 VDC).

The EmNet SIB/1 offers eight connectors for 10BASE-T Ethernet (LAN), two serial ports (COM1, COM2. One serial port is jumper selectable to RS232C or RS485 mode), parallel I/O signals (PIO), keyboard matrix I/O signals (KBDM), one Compact FLASH (CF) card slot, JTAG test and setup port and one external power input (PWR). There are also two jumpers (FLASH lock, COM2 RS232C or RS485 mode select) and one RESET switch available.
