The on-board Ethernet controller chips supports data transfers up to 10 Mbps. The chips integrates most of the 802.3 functionality, incorporating the MAC layer protocol, the physical layer encoding and decoding with the ability to handle the three pair AUI interface.The LAN1-PC/104 is available with either an 8-bit PC/104 connector and interface or an 16-bit PC/104 connector with 8-bit interface.
The LAN1-PC/104 Ethernet controller chip is I/O port mapped requiring 32 contiguous addresses. The I/O base address is jumper selectable to 300h, 320h, 340h or 360h. The Ethernet controller interrupt request is also jumper selectable on the PC/104 bus interrupts IRQ2, IRQ3, IRQ4, IRQ5, IRQ6 or IRQ7. The LAN1-PC/104 offers an auto- boot memory socket (remote boot PROM socket) for 16 or 32 Kbyte boot PROMīs. The remote boot PROM socket is memory mapped. The segment address for this socket is jumper selectable to C000h, C400h, C800h, CC00h, D000h, D400h, D800h or DC00h.
The LAN1 offers connectors for 8-bit (J1) or 16-bit PC/104 (J1/J2), Ethernet 10BASE-T (RJ45), Ethernet 10BASE-2 (Coax), and Ethernet AUI (15-pin SUB-D). Document Download - PDF File, 152.266 bytes with LAN1 jumper configuration.
