If you are using the RCM, please setup your PC terminal emulation software to 19,200 bps, 8 data bits, no parity bit and 1 stop bit (LINK PARAMETER). In the REMOTE CONSOLE MODE you can enter DOS commands for the CP/386LN operating system over the desktop PC keyboard. The output is going to the desktop PC VGA monitor. The CP/386LN BIOS is routing the BIOS interrupts Int. 10h (video) and Int. 16h (keyboard) to the COM2 port.

In this configuration you can start programs on the CP/386LN. The program output (i.e. user and status messages) are on your desktop PC VGA monitor. Please note: If you are starting programs on the CP/386LN which are writing directly to VGA video memory, you do not see this output on your desktop PC VGA monitor. The CP/386LN BIOS in REMOTE CONSOLE MODE is routing only the Int. 10h calls to COM2. Your desktop PC with the terminal emulation software shows the Int. 10h output.
