PC/104 EMBEDDED PC STARTER KIT
The PC/104 Embedded PC Starter Kits are standalone, Microsoft MS-DOS 6.22 or Windows CE (CP/486DX2 only) based industrial PC systems. The operating system is installed in a bootable FLASH solid state disk (FLASH SSD). Each starter kit is a completely functional system for embedded- application development with SSV SOFTWARE SYSTEMS PC/104 single board computers (PC/104 SBCs). We offer starter kits for the CP/386AL, CP/386EX, CP/386LN, CP/486DX1 (with 486DX2-66, 486DX4-100, or 5x86-133 CPU) and the CP/486DX2 single board computers. For using a PC/104 Embedded PC Starter Kit, you need one power cable, one VGA CRT monitor (VGA CRT MONITOR), one standard PC/AT keyboard (PC/AT KEYBOARD) with 5- pin DIN connector, and one MS-DOS or Microsoft Windows- based Desktop or Notebook PC (DESKTOP PC) with a null- modem cable for software downloads. The PC/104 Embedded PC Starter Kit contains the following parts:

  • 1 * PC/104 SBC with bootable MS-DOS 6.22 or Windows CE FLASH SSD
  • 1 * PC/104 VGA Controller Board for VGA CRT Monitors
  • 1 * SBC LPT Port I/F Cable with 25-pin female SUB-D Connector
  • 3.5" Support Disk(s) and User Manual(s)

The starter kit for the CP/386LN single board LAN computer and for the CP/486DX2 also contains one 10BASE-T Ethernet interface cable with an RJ45 connector and a Support Disk with LAN drivers for the CP/386LN or CP/486DX2 network integration.

For using PC/104 single board computers together with industrial matrix keyboards, we offer the KBS/E1 Keyboard Scanner Module. The KBS/E1 is a small size (30mm * 70mm) keyboard scanner interface for maxtrix keyboards with up to 64 keys in a 8 * 8 matrix. The output of the KBS/E1 are standard PC scan codes for the PC/104 SBC keyboard interface. The internal keyboard wedge function of the KBS/E1 allow the simultan operation of a matrix keyboard and a external PC keyboard. The KBS/E1 also offers two otions: 1. Real- time clock battery for the PC/104 SBC AT compatible real time clock and 2. Speaker for the PC/104 SBC speaker interface.
